2) Run a Scan (Fast Check)
Use the analyzer when you receive something suspicious (text message, email, social message, marketplace listing, payment request, etc.).
How to scan a suspicious message or link
- Open the analyzer.
- Paste the suspicious text, message, or link into the input box.
- Add context (who sent it, what they’re asking for, what platform it came from).
- Tap Analyze.
- Read the summary first, then review red flags and recommended actions.
What to paste for the best results
- Full message text (including greetings + “urgent” lines)
- Usernames, emails, phone numbers
- Any payment method they request (gift cards, wire, crypto, Zelle, etc.)
- Any “verification code” requests
3) Use Images (Screenshots & Evidence)
Adding screenshots can reveal hidden signals: mismatched names, fake profiles, inconsistent branding, manipulated invoices, and more.
How to upload images correctly
- Take a screenshot of the full conversation (include the username and timestamp if possible).
- Upload the screenshot(s) in Truio using the image upload area.
- For multiple screenshots: upload in order (top to bottom of the conversation).
- Tap Analyze after images are attached.
Privacy tips before uploading
- Blur your personal address, bank numbers, or any sensitive IDs.
- Keep names/handles visible for the suspected scammer.
- Include the platform header (Facebook, Instagram, email client, etc.) if possible.
4) Forensic Tools (Deep Analysis)
Forensics is where you go beyond “is it safe?” and learn why it’s suspicious and what to verify next.
How to use Forensic Mode
- Run a normal scan first.
- Open the Forensic section/tools.
- Review the tactic categories (urgency, impersonation, payment pressure, identity mismatch).
- Follow the “Verify Next” checklist (what to confirm before you trust).
- Re-scan if you find new info (a new email, number, screenshot, etc.).
5) Read the Results (SafeScore + Findings)
Results typically include a summary, risk signals, and recommended next actions.
How to interpret the results
- Start with the summary: What Truio believes is happening.
- Check red flags: urgency, impersonation, off-platform pressure, payment methods, contradictions.
- Follow recommended actions: verify identity, avoid sending money, report, block, etc.
- Confidence vs unknowns: treat “unknown” as “needs verification,” not “safe.”
6) Agents: Missions & Training
The Agents area is designed to make you faster at spotting deception through missions, practice, and training modules.
How to use Missions
- Open the Agents dashboard.
- Choose a mission (example: identify red flags, classify scam types, evidence gathering).
- Complete the steps and submit your findings.
- Use training modules to sharpen speed + accuracy.
How to use Training Modules
- Launch a module from the Agents dashboard.
- Focus on pattern recognition: urgency, impersonation, “verification code” traps, payment pressure.
- Replay modules—repetition builds instinct.
7) Save, Share, or Report
Use saved results to protect friends/family, document what happened, and help the community avoid repeat scams.
How to share an analysis safely
- Share the results summary (not your personal sensitive data).
- Share screenshots with sensitive info removed.
- When in doubt: re-run analysis with personal data blurred.
8) Troubleshooting
Quick fixes for the most common issues.
iPhone: “Add to Home Screen” missing
- Make sure you’re using Safari (not Chrome).

- If missing, use Share → scroll → Edit Actions / Edit to enable it.
